Brooklyn Greenway Initiative

Join a gardener on a this walk to learn about some trees of the Naval Cemetery Landscape (NCL), a contemplative memorial & native plant, insect and bird habitat built and maintained by Brooklyn Greenway Initiative. Situated along the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, the NCL is an urban meadow with wooded perimeter offering a sense of enclosure and variety of niche habitat and resources for wildlife. The NCL has no parking and is accessible by bike or walking to the entrance on Williamsburg St. West between Flushing Avenue and Kent Avenue.
