Volunteers will engage in bulb planting and tree care within and around the park.
Found in the Upper East Side, Carl Schurz Park is a picturesque green space, with promenades, lawns, and peaceful sitting areas.
During this urban canopy foraging walk we'll learn the history and culinary uses of some of our most common street trees.
Participants will be tending to trees within Nostrand Park and the surrounding street trees located on Nostrand Avenue.

Join us for Free Tree Love at Brower Park. Mx. Jezz Bold will host an all-ages storytime honoring our trees and ourselves as tree keepers. Friends of Brower Park will host a leaf scavenger hunt and leaf rubbing art activity identifying the local trees. Field Meridians will host a free seed library and exchange. Friends of Brower Park Library will host a used book sale supporting the library. In the event of good weather, we will meet at the fountain near the Monarch Garden in Brower Park. In the event of bad weather, we will plan to meet at Brower Park Library.
