Celebrating Stewardship: City of Forest Day After-Party

Close out your City of Forest Day at the Celebrating Stewardship After-Party, hosted by Partnerships for Parks, City Parks Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, Natural Areas Conservancy, and NYC Parks. There will be food, music, TREEvia, prizes, and a special visit from the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice to give updates on the city’s first Urban Forest Plan.

STEAM Discovery Day: Urban Forest Explorers

Queens Public Library: Queensbridge Tech Lab 10-43 41 Avenue, Long Island City

In celebration of City of Forest Day (October 4th), this Discovery Day explores NYC’s urban forest through science, art, and hands-on tree-based activities. Families will investigate how trees help our city and discover ways to become stewards of their local environment.

The workshop will be held in-person at the Queensbridge Tech Lab.

Join the Friends of Clinton Hill Library in celebrating NYC's City of Forest Day. Learn about the trees that grow around the Clinton Hill Library. Use their leaves to make leaf animals. All materials will be supplies. Best for ages 5 and up.
