Tree Planting in Rooney Triangle

Come join us for tree-planting on City of Forest Day! We’re coming together to plant trees and enhance the green space at our local traffic triangle and make a positive impact on our environment. Volunteers can help remove weeds, transplant trees, construct temporary tree guards, plant garlic or flower bulbs, and water new trees and plants. Please contact the event organizers for Polish or Spanish language access. Google Maps has the correct location, but Apple Maps will send you a couple blocks over. The traffic triangle is located northeast of McCarren Park, between Richardson Street and Meeker Avenue south of Manhattan Avenue near the elevated BQE. It is on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg/Northside. If you see a gas station, you’re there.
