Compost Socks for City of Forest Day: A Master Composter Volunteer Activity

The NYC Compost Project Hosted by the Lower East Side Ecology Center and Riverside Park Conservancy are honoring the second annual City of Forest Day with a project at the Park’s new compost facility and the adjacent landscape. We will be creating compost socks – a holistic erosion control method – to be placed on sloped areas in Riverside Park. Meet by Compost Compound in Riverside Park Conservancy (Near 96th Street Clay Tennis Courts).
