‘Lungs of the city’ – City of Forest Day puts spotlight on NYC’s 7 million trees

Thousands citywide are expected to celebrate “City of Forest Day” – a new event aiming educate and encourage people to care for nature throughout their communities.

The event will be active across all the five boroughs on Saturday. It’s being presented by Forest for All NYC in partnership with the Parks and Open Space Partners – NYC Coalition and NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
