NYBG has partnered with the US Forest Service on a study to assess the success of oak restoration across the Northeast. In partnership with the US Forest Service, during NYC City of Forest Day, 400 of the 2,000 oak trees grown and cared for by NYBG will be planted in canopy gaps throughout the Thain Family Forest. Volunteers will plant trees as part of this study, helping to maintain the health of our local forests and contributing regional forest restoration efforts. NYBG grounds admission fee will be waived for confirmed participants. Registration is required. Please register at the link.
