Celebrating Our Urban Forest

Join the Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza on City of Forest Day for tree tours of the Plaza and its Katharine Hepburn Garden (midtown east Manhattan’s largest urban forest). Learn about the “Adopt a Tree” program for volunteers and businesses to sign up for helping to water, care for and sustain park trees. We will have an activities table for kids to learn about trees, hand-outs, quizzes and information on the trees in Dag Hammarskjold Plaza and the role they play.
